The Recreation and Tourism Management program prepares students for leadership roles in the recreation, park, tourism, and travel management fields. Its primary purpose is to help students acquire the knowledge and perspective they will need to lead these fields through the social, economic, and environmental challenges of the next century.

Tourism has been taught at Lincoln University since 1984 and provides an internationally established programme of study. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to take on a multitude of managerial, planning, business leadership, advisory or research roles within the tourism industry.

Great management skills and extensive avalanche control experience is preferred. Successful candidates must have prior experience as a full time patroller, an active NSP membership and excellent leadership skills. Applicant must be able to work on weekends and holidays.
